- Large, showy blooms of orange to red, funnelform flowers are raised up above the stem on pedicels
- Native to Northern Argentina where mature specimens can form clumps up to 3.3’ tall
- Easy windowsill cactus when grown in gritty soil and a container with a drainage hole
