- Spiky looking leaves are covered with bumps and short hairs that make them look like green pickles
- Slender stems can grow 18" long and are covered with pudgy, bean-like leaves
- Native to South Africa and bloom with small, pale yellow flowers
- Flourishes in south-facing windows with deep drenchings when the soil is dry and the leaves just start to pucker
